Rick Ross’ releases Nigerian version of Hold Me Back [Watch Here]

Maybach Music boss Rick Ross just dropped the Nigerian version of his hit “Hold Me Back”, He shot the video while he was in Lagos last month for the Summer Jam Festival. The video was shot in ghettos across Lagos State, and depicts Nigeria the way most people in the West view our country, as poverty stricken.

This video has caused a lot of backlash on social media forums, with many people complaining about the way Rick Ross depicted Nigeria and Nigerians. Many feel the video should have shown the affluent part of Nigeria.

The US version of this track was also shot in the hood, depicting poverty and crime in the ghetto. I  tire for Naija people sha they can complain, you are damned if you do, damned if don’t.

Watch the controversial video after the jump

What are your thoughts? Did he do Nigerians with the video you’ve just watched?

He continued with the them of the USA version so i won’t fault him for that. I’ll blame our useless leaders and not Rick Ross for coming to make a video in a Naija slum.
