The Official Twitter account of the Nigerian Armed Forces has just announce that 200 girls and 93 women were rescued this afternoon [Apr. 28], during a raid of Sambisa Forest by men of the Nigerian Army.

They couldn’t confirm if these were the missing Chibok girls who were abducted over a year ago in Bauchi, giving rise to the #BringBackOurGirls movement. The Army also captured and destroyed 3 terrorist camps during the operation

Kudos to the Nigerian army! 293 people rescued is no small thing! Our joy will be even greater if the Chibok girls are among the rescued.

We await confirmation from the Nigerian Army.
