He not only referred to Nigeria as the “United States of Nigeria” but he also said it wasn’t his or the ministry’s responsibility that the team got stranded.

It seems someone might’ve persuaded the Minister that his comments were unbecoming of his position because today he took to his Facebook page to tender a public apology.

He wrote,

Dalung apologizes to Nigerians, the Olympic football team.

After hugging and exchanging pleasantries with players and officials, Barrister Dalung said: “I want to apologize for all the circumstances that led to your late arrival here.

I apologize because I am the head and as such I must take responsibility for anything that happens under my watch.”

I’ll just leave this here…
