Nigerian Senate Condemns Forces NCC To Suspend Data Price Increase


This morning we told you about the social media dragging being served to PMB over the plans of the FG through The Nigerian Communications Commission to increase internet data prices in Nigeria.

However this morning the Nigerian Senate unanimously condemned the directive hours after which the NCC announced the immediate suspension of the new minimum pricing template for data services by mobile operators.

The new rate, which would have led to price increase in data for some Nigerians, was scheduled to take effect from December 1.

Good news! Good to see that asides collecting exorbitant amounts for housing, car and travel allowances Nigerian senators are working.
