The demonstration comes as the country gears up for a United Kingdom general election on 12 December, with the SNP hoping to ride a wave of pro-independence sentiment and secure itself a second referendum in 2020 during the next parliament.
Nicola Sturgeon previously used her speech at the SNP conference to insist a second referendum on Scottish independence "must" take place in 2020. My friends, make no mistake - the general election that we face on December 12 is the most important election for Scotland in our lifetimes.
And as she addressed a rally of independence supporters in Glasgow's George Square, she called on voters to "demand the right to choose an independent future for Scotland" on December 12.
"We will not be campaigning unless in exceptional circumstances and for exceptional candidates, like our parliamentary chair Ruth Smeeth, and members of the parliamentary Labour party who've been unwavering in their support of us", said JLM in a statement.
"The future of our country is on the line, and there is no doubt whatsoever that Scotland stands at a crossroads moment".
"We will not go down that path under any circumstances".
Labour's indications that they would not seek to stand in the way of such a mandate show that they understand the reality - which is that, whatever the bluster of recent times, attempts to block Scotland's democratic right simply can not stand.

Mr Gyimah, who now represents the East Surrey constituency, joined the Lib Dems in September and struck out at the Tories for becoming the "hard Brexit party" after he was exiled by Boris Johnson over his no-deal opposition.

"We need to persuade people that the Labour Party is the only party that will stand up against Boris Johnson, get him out, but more importantly that we are the only party that offers an alternative that is radical, that will transform people's lives".
Instead, she said, there was "a much better alternative".
'An independent Scotland is closer than it has ever been.
In the last Scottish independence referendum, which was held in September 2014, Scots voted "no" 55% to 45%.
"People have had enough of the division and we just want to move on".
The Liberal Party has filed a formal complaint after ITV indicated that its direct electoral debate included only Boris Johnson and Jeremy Corbin.
Jeremy Corbyn has said a new Scottish independence referendum is "not necessary or desirable". "This involves a wide range of programming, including a live debate programme in which seven party leaders are invited to take part, as well as a live debate between the Labour and Conservative leaders". "She is showing everyone that her priority is indyref2 above everything else".
