An autopsy is set to be performed today as his death remains under investigation.
Juice Wrld, born Jarad Anthony Higgins, died at age 21 after reportedly having a seizure in Chicago's Midway airport. Then there was Legends, in which he predicted his demise with troubling accuracy: "What's the 27 Club?"
Rapper Famous Dex suffered a seizure during a performance in Hollywood last month.
TMZ, which reported Monday morning that Juice WRLD popped "several unknown pills" before he had his seizure, posted photos of the rapper's opened luggage that showed what looked like dozens of gallon-sized storage bags filled with drugs.
"This is such a tragic loss for the world of music, a young life with so much potential and a unique and precious talent", the British singer told CNN in a statement. After which he was rushed to the local hospital. Now, we've learned that the rapper was coming home to attend a celebration for his 21st birthday.
ICE's Homeland Security is now investigating the death of the rapper, and the private jet he flew in from Los Angeles. But it was his 2018 debut, Goodbye & Good Riddance, that was positive proof that the rapper had truly arrived.
We are extremely saddened by this news, and send our love and condolences to Juice WRLD's family and friends.
According to the report, officers and agents had been waiting for the rapper's private plane from Los Angeles because they suspected contraband was on board. An autopsy is now underway and, soon, we will be finding out the reason why the talented 21-year-old is no longer with us. Back in July, Juice Wrld wrote on Twitter about wanting to quit Lean after scaring his girlfriend, "Bae I'm sorry I be tweaking, you've put up with more than ppl know I know I be scaring you, f**k Codeine I'm done".
Tributes have flooded in from across the world of music, and Nas paid his respects by covering the late star's Lucid Dreams during his gig at San Franciscos Jingle Ball, and displaying Higgins's face on a big screen behind him.
