The total number of flu-related deaths in Nebraska has climbed to five, and the number of positive influenza tests spiked to almost 6,000, according to the latest data released by the State of Nebraska.
For the week starting December 29, 307 new flu cases were reported statewide.

The number of flu cases is trending up, according to information from the Division of Public Health, Communicable Disease Branch, N.C. Department of Health and Human Services.
