Following the uproar last week of D’Banj telling Ebony Magazine “He owns a label called Mo’ Hits and Don Jazzy is his artiste” the magazine (see post HERE) the following day Ebony changed the excerpts of the interview to “I co-own a label called Mo’ Hits with Don Jazzy and we represent artists Dr. Sid, Wande Coal, D’Prince and K-Switch”.

Keep in mind that Ebony didn’t print a retraction, so this leads me to conclude that the initial statement wasn’t an error on their part.

Well here is an interview D’Banj did last month with OkayTV Africa, in the interview he talks about his humble beginnings, Kanye and  how he “STARTED my own record label called Mohits Records”

Oh dear…now this can’t be changed now can it? Watch video below, other Mo Hits artistes take part in it…except Don Jazzy!

Daggering is a Jamaican dance craze in which a guy bends a girl over and dry humps her on the dance floor.

This weekend gone past Davido performed his 2 and a half songs at a club in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The groupies must have seen my post about him being in town cos they were at the venue in full effect.

One was bold enough to jump on stage to dance with him and that’s when 19 year old Davido started to “dagger” the chick! After aggressively dry humping the lady he flung her to the floor and kept dancing!

Asides the fact that Wande Coal isn’t looking half bad at all in his new video Private Trips which dropped today (his styling is on point!), all I kept thinking is why do these Nigerian artistes (bar a few) keep using these obviously Non Naija/African chicks in their videos?!

It doesn’t matter where the video was shot (in this case Las Vegas) I’m sure they could have found a chick that looked black. Oh well wetin consine me before they say I’m hating…

Friday night history was made as Tuface idibia, M.I., Naeto C, Bez and Seun Kuti became the first Africans to perform at leading msuic industry event South by Southwest (SXSW) 2012.

Around 2,000 musical acts from around the globe, representing over 50 different countries performed in Austin, Texas from March 13-18, 2012.

You’ve heard the rumours about the discord between Mo Hits president Don Jazzy and D’Banj, over the last few weeks it’s been reported everywhere from major newspapers to entertainment blogs. Then there was THAT D’Banj interview with Ebony magazine in which he said he OWNED Mo Hits and Don Jazzy was his artiste, the interview was amended shortly after that without an apology from the publication (which tells you the error wasn’t from them). It all finally came to a head last night when music director Sesan tweeted about the premiere of the Oliver Twist video (which still hasn’t surfaced online), in the past Don Jazzy would hype the video days in advance but not a word was heard from him.

And just a few hours ago Don Jazzy tweeted the following….

Sad news…who would have thought 2012 would see these two parting ways. They appeared to be the most solid partnership in the Nigerian music industry. But my sources tell me there is no coming back from this.

So are you #TEAMDONJAZZY or #TEAMDBANJ
