On the left we have sexy singer from Nigeria Miss Tiwa Savage who wore this Toju Foyeh creation last November to the Channel O Awards in Johannesburg, South Africa and on the right is American actress Miss Gabrielle Union who rocked a similar gown by Diane Von Furstenberg to the 2010 Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Hollywood, California.

Singer Mo’ Cheddah last Friday rocked this blue sequin April by Kunbi number for her graduation party last Friday in Lagos. She paired the statement piece with hot pink shoes, and finished off the look with big hair.

I tell ya this look isn’t for the faint hearted.

Mo’ recently graduated with a creative arts degree from the University of Lagos. Congrats to her more grease to her elbows, its not easy balancing school with a hectic showbiz career. This probably explains the mistakenly dm’d nude photos sent to a certain famous rapper on twitter **cough, cough** #GOOGLEITBABY

Anyways back to the issue at hand, the WAG just last summer in the UK had a joint birthday and graduation celebration (pics are soooo late but they just hit the net today). For the afternoon grad ceremony she rocked a bright yellow body con dress & for the evening’s birthday pary she switched it up for a zipper body con dress. She paired both dresses with black suede pumps.

Even after 2 kids Amara’s body is on point, and her and her hubby look super cute together.

Award season officially kicked off last night with the 2012 Golden Globes. I watched part of the red carpet arrivals on E! and it was such a welcome distraction from all the Fuel Subsidy Removal wahala, and waiting for NLC  & the president to address the nation about the outcome of their sunday afternoon meeting, which again ended in deadlock. Just incase you were asleep when it all happened the president has insisted on N97 and he is not backing down, NLC isn’t accepting, so the strike is still on but they have advised instead of  street protests rallies, we all sit our asses at home instead…WTF!

In the meantime our ever so caring commander in chief (NOT!!) will be addressing the nation at 7am (the speech has leaked online and you can read it here)

Apologies for going off topic but I am incensed, anyways nothing like analysing red carpet fashion to release my happy hormones. From Angelina Jolie to Mary J. Blige the stars were out last night and the red carpet was popping with designer gowns, expensive blings and tonnes of weave. See who rocked what after the jump.

For some time now I have been running bi weekly posts featuring female Nigerian and West African celebrities rocking all manner of fashion at various red carpet events…and asking you my loyal readers what you think about their look? From Hair to Clothes to Makeup & Shoes? So to make things a bit more fun I’ve decided to add male celebrities to the mix! Naija men have stepped up their red carpet game big time! A few are giving even the best dressed chicks out there a run for their money, but majority still look a hot ass mess (let’s not lie) and need a lot of help.

First to make the cut is Mr Capable Banky W, at the launch of an online fashion store in Lagos late last year. He’s keeping it very neutral with the colours from his customary hat to his jacket. He tops off his look with a pair of rayban wayfarers.

While most Nigerians were focusing on yesterday’s nationwide protests, famed deisgner Roberto Cavalli and Vogue Italia editor Franca Sozanni quietly snuck into town…It was a very hush hush visit and it appears the pair were in town to preview collections from Naija designers. A few weeks back the Vogue Italia editor wrote on her blog that she would be visiting Nigeria, Ghana & Togo.

If you are a Naija fashion head this news is probably making you cum in your Dolce jeans giving you life!!!

And according to FAB MAgazine Roberto Cavalli is looking to open a store in Nigeria….YUP! Life is about to change! The A list designers are coming to town!!!
