Photographer Toni Tones continues to show us how multi-talented she is, she has established herself as one of Nigeria’s most sought after photographers. She also runs a highly popular online fashion magazine, thefancyhub and is currently the voice of Mavin records, doing voice overs as their ‘mavinbot’.

Now you can stamp actress on her CV as she stars in the new drama series ‘Gidi Culture’.

Nollywood screen queen Omotola Jolade Ekeinde‘s new Reality TV show premiered on the 6th of December on MNet’s Africa Magic. And the reviews are out people! According to Africa Magic, Omotola: The Real Me had the highest number of viewers the channel has ever experienced for any other shows in history! But blogger Sheifunmi who watched the show in it’s entirety had a completely different (read that as negative) take on the show.

I didn’t watch the show…It completely slipped my mind, but I will make sure to tune in for future episodes.

By winning 10 million naira at this weekend’s finals of Nigeria’s Got Talent, Amarachi Uyanne has set a record, at just 8 years old she is the youngest  non-inheritor millionaire in Nigeria having broken the previous record set by Solomon Ebuka Nwanke Ubani who became a millionaire at age 20.

8 year old Primary 5 school girl from Benin City Edo State, Amarachi beat top contender Godwin Ogechukwu and eight other finalists to take home the winning spot and 10 million Naira. She won through a public voting process  managed by Forbes Limited.

An elated Amarachi after receiving her cheque, said she would use part of the money to support orphans and to pursue her ambition of becoming a medical doctor, going on to say:

I am happy that I won. At first I was afraid and thought I would lose, but thank God I won in the end. I want to help orphans with the money, and also for the education of my two siblings as well as mine

I hope and pray her parents save and invest Amarachi’s money wisely…10 million naira can finish really quickly if care isn’t taken.

Tinsel fans will be saddened to learn that show fave Damilola Adegbite has announced her shock exit from the MNET soap opera that made her famous. For 4 years Damiloa captivated audiences with the role of Telema Duke, but  yesterday via her management she made the announcement to leave  to focus on her movie career (translation: Nollywood).

I know a few guys who are in love with this chick and only watch Tinsel to drool at her (is what they told me!). So I suspect with Dami off the show there may be a dip in the show’s ratings and viewership from the men folk.

We’ll have to wait and find out.
