On the Rise: Tiwa Savage

I was doing my daily facebook troll when I saw pictures one of my friends had been tagged in, of a video shoot, clicked on it, cos I’m nosy like that…and saw a stunning girl (no homo) in a lovely black & white playsuit. From the info on the photo album I gathered it was a shoot in LA for Tiwa Savage and her debut single Kele Kele.

I googled her and got a link to Gidlounge who did a story on her some weeks back, and listened to the song from her they had posted, very catchy tune instantly fell in love with it…very well written and produced…It’s a future hit, yup you heard it here first!

Plus there are a couple of videos on YouTube of her doing acapella versions of the National Anthem and a cover of Whitney Houston’s Jesus Loves Me and home girl has got some pipes on her! JEEZUZ!

Genevieve Nnaji in MUD!

WOW! Look at Genevieve work all that MUD!

She is looking MAD HOT in these recently released promo shots by MUD (MakeUp Designory) Cosmetics from their upcoming campaign which features Genevieve Nnaji as the new face of the cosmetics line, the shoot was held in Los Angeles, and a rep for the company had this to say:

Recently we were honored to team up with Bellezza Cosmetics and Spa, our retail partner in Nigeria, to do a photo shoot at our headquarters in Los Angeles with the very talented and beautiful Nollywood actress and model, Genevieve Nnaji. An immensely popular beauty icon and the only Nigerian actress to ever be profiled on Oprah, Genevieve has been the recipient of many awards throughout her career.

I think Genevieve looks FIERCE in these pictures, the make up is fab. she truly has come a long way!

I don’t envy her having to wash all that sh*t out of her hair and off her body after the shoot, but i guess if the price was right…i would too 🙂

Deola Sagoe launches Polo Line

I absolutely love Deola Sagoe, she’s my fave Naij designer, and she holds it down internationally too! She launched her Couture Polo Line on the 31st July 2010, in Lagos (wish I was there), but that’s talk for another day.

According to Tariere’s blog it was an A-list red carpet, with canapés and the drink of choice in Lagos, Champagne of course! The launch also served as a reintroduction of CANOE magazine.

Of course the beautiful people were there and everyone came correct!

The polos look faboosh and i’m especially loving the print lining on the inside seam. I want one!

More pictures from the event after the jump.

Sidenote: Don’t know about former Big Brother Housemate Gideon’s glasses…SMH. I think a smaller pair would have been better, but I guess na by force to do geek chic.
