Yay!!! Serah Luka – Second Abducted Chibok Girl Rescued From Sambisa Forest, Over 2 Years After Boko Haram Kidnap


They are coming home!

Following Tuesday night’s rescue of Amina Ali Nkek, the first of over 200 abducted Chibok girls rescued from the Sambisa  forest two years after they were forcefully taken from their school two years ago, another girl has now been rescued.

Her name is Serah Luka and The Nigerian Army Spokesperson, Colonel Usman Sani Kukasheka confirmed the good news just a few hours ago.

Rescued Chibok School Girl’s Terrorist Husband Could Be Given Amnesty & Here Is Why!



On Tuesday night a missing Chibok school girl was found  deep inside the Sambisa Forest by a vigilante group fighting Boko Haram.

Her name is Amina Ali Nkek and the 19 year old was rescued alongside her 4 month old baby and ‘husband’, who is a Boko Haram terrorist that ‘married’ her after she was abducted by his insurgent group.


Empire State Building Turns Purple & Red In Honour Of Missing Chibok Girls 1 Year Anniversay 



The Empire State Building in New York one of the tallest and most famous landmarks in the world, last night joined Nigerians to the remember the missing Chibok school girls on the one year anniversary of their abduction.

The building was lit in red and purple in honour of the 219 of the 276 abducted girls. The edifice remained illuminated until 2:00 am (NY time) –7.00am Nigerian time. 


1 Year After & Not A Trace Of The Nearly 300 Abducted Chibok Girls…Will They Ever Be Found? 



After what President elect Muhammadu Buhari said yesterday about the abducted Chibok school girls, I wonder if we’ll ever find these girls?!!

A year on and still not a trace of them…nearly 300 girls gone…just like that…poof…like they never existed, in this age of Jimi Agbaje drones that could pick them out easily wherever they are.

Today makes it 1 year since nearly 30 teenage girls were abducted from their school in Chibok, Borno State, by Boko Haram militants.

It’s been a year of #BringBackOurGirls, praying and hoping for their safe return.

Many of us are hoping the Buhari administration would do what the GEJ administration has been unable to do and that is: rescue the girls.

In a statement marking one year in of the girls abduction, Mr. Buhari said that while he would do everything in his power to bring the girls home,  he cannot promise he can find them.

Alicia Keys Is Not Giving Up On Missing Chibok School Girls & She Doesn’t Want Us To Give Up Too!



Today makes it 181 days since 219 Chibok school girls were abducted by Boko Haram insurgents & even though Bring Back Our Girls isn’t a hot topic, many have still not forgotten including Grammy winning singer Alicia Keys who is once again adding her voice to to the call for the girls to be returned home.

Alicia who is 6 months pregnant with her second child spoke out at the same time as a candle light vigil to make the 180th day of the abduction of the girls took place in Abuja yesterday Oct. 12th.

She said during an interview on CNN,


The Chibok School Girls Have Been Missing For 100 Days. Pres GEJ Finally Met Parents Yesterday + 4 Parents Died Recently



Today makes it 100 Days that the Chibok school girls have been missing! And apart from the fact that the girls have still not been found apart from a few that managed to escape, here is what we know:

  • On Day 99. After a lot of back and forth, accusations and counter accusations President GEJ finally met with some parents of the missing girls yetserday (22nd July) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The heartbroken parents were summoned to the Presidential Villa in Abuja were the President told parents and some of the girls who escaped, that his administration is commitment to bringing back the girls.
  • According to the National Chairman of Chibok community, Pogu Bitrus, last week 4 parents of the missing school girls passed away. Cause of death he gave to be: heart attack and frustration. Bitrus said, “One father of two of the girls kidnapped, just went into a kind of coma and kept repeating the names of his daughters until his life left him” This brings to a total of 11 parents who have died since the girls were abducted by Boko Haram insurgents!
  • After Monday’s National Security Council meeting which took place at the Presidential Villa, the Director General of the Department of State Security, Mr Ita Ekpeyong told the press people at the venue, that security forces know where precisely the kidnapped Chibok girls are but are being very careful in their rescue efforts so as not to endanger their lives.

Reports That 30 Chibok Girls Escaped From Boko Haram Is False – Oby Ezekwesili



Yesterday there were reports that 30 Chibok schoolgirls had escaped from Boko Haram with the help of hunters in the area after being held for nearly 3 months. Last week it was also reported that 63 Chibok schoolgirls had escaped [READ HERE IF YOU MISSED IT]

Well…looks like that report about the 30 girls escaping is a lie, according to former Minister of Education & activist Oby Ezekwesili. And she should know as she was one of the first people to bring this pathetic situation to light and has been following it since the beginning.

She called out Cable News, the false report on twitter, when she tweeted:


#BringBackOurGirls The Faces & Names Of Nearly 200 Abducted Chibok School Girls Finally Released



Since the kidnapping of over 200 Chibok school girls over two months ago by Boko Haram terrorists, many have called for the release of their names and pictures and it has finally happened!

Former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has just revealed the pictures and names of 185 girls, which was painstakingly put together by a Chibok community council leader. Before now only one girls name and picture had been released.


Reno Omokiri Shares Pics Of Nigerian Army Soldiers In Sambisa Forest, But Are They Really Cadets Training In Kaduna?



Yesterday Special Assistant to President Jonathan on New Media, Reno Omokri shared some pictures on his Twitter page to assure Nigerians that President GEJ’s government is committed to improving our armed forces. The pictures showed soldiers standing next to heavy artillery trucks and one in particular he shared, with the caption “Sambisa Forest is Larger Than Lagos State But Gallant Soldiers are There Defending your Interests
