Ice Prince breaks his silence with the release of two new singles. The first track Gimme That is the radio ready track with a reggae feel. Featuring Burna Boy, Yung L and Olamide the track is sure to become a favorite. The second track VIP features a solo effort from Ice Prince with a more familar sound and flow to his previous singles. From the looks of it, Chocolate City‘s Ice Prince is set to take 2013 by storm. Check out the Aboki (Remix) featuring Sardokie, Mercy Johnson, Wizkid, M.I and Khuli Chana. The rapper also released a video to a track called Truth directed by JMavrik. Watch the video after the jump.

Except you have been living under a rock deep in the Afghan mountains you probably heard about the epic fail that was The Koko Concert which went down at Eko Atlantic last night/this morning (27th Dec)  in the city of Lagos.

The show brainchild of D’Banj saw performances from Nigerian acts Saeon, Flowssickk, DRB Lasgisdi, Ajebutter 22, Orezi, Omo Akin, Seyi Shay, Dpzzle, Burna Boy, Shank, Dammy Krane, Lynxxx, Ice Prince, and international acts Tinie Tempah, US rappers Pusha T and Big Sean. Technically the show was hosted by British actor Idris Elba but he was so drunk/high that hosting duties fell to backup hosts Basketmouth & Bovi.

Thankfully I didn’t go for the show, but I watched the live stream online, and saw the tweets bashing the concert. Between concert goers long trek to/from the venue and D’Banj’s blatant lack of respect for his fans in non VVIP, it’s safe to say the show was a fail of epic proportions. The only good thing from what I could from where I was sitting is that it was streamed online live, therefore reaching a wider global audience.

It’s the all-encompassing litmus test that determines what’s hot and what’s not in our digital society. Today, Google reveals its annual zeitgeist – the people, places and things that are clicking the most with Nigerian Internet users in 2012.

Top of the most-searched musicians is 20 year old pop star Davido who saw his profile boosted this year following the release of his debut album Omo Baba Olowo, a sponsorship deal with telecoms giant MTN, scandals involving leaked photos with groupies and rumoured altercations with even more groupies.

Next behind him are M.I. and D’Banj who take the 2^nd and 3^rd positions respectively.

The top searched Nollywood personality is Mercy Johnson, followed by Ini Edo & Tonto Dikeh.

Chelsea Football Club takes the lead as the most searched for team, followed by Arsenal and Spanish team Barcelona.

It appears Nigerian’s are also searching hard for “Love” as the terms ‘what is love’ and ‘how to love’ topped their respective lists.

Feel Alright is the new video off Davido‘s O.B.O. album. The song is produced by Dokta Frabz and the video directed by Aje Filmworks. This is one of the classiest videos I’ve seen all year especially since it blends with the song. Love it.

The 3rd edition of FAB Night Out went down Sunday Night at The Landmark, VI, Lagos The stylish event also saw awards presented to 29 deserving individuals and corporate bodies in Fashion, Lifestyle and Business.

Some of the VIPs at the event were Basketmouth, Karen Igho, eLDee, Mo’ Cheddah. Joseph Benjamin, Ice Prince, M.I., Ajebutta, Eku Edewor, Ebuka, Dolapo Oni and much more

This blog was nominated for Best Online Publication…So your girl dusted off her high heels, took out my Virgos Lounge dress I got in the summer and headed for the event. I didn’t win though…Bella Naija took the honours in that category. Congrats Bella!

Best thing about the night: My cousin Erica and I had a ball, we were a party to ourselves, Seyi Shay‘s performance was so impressive, the upcoming singer went in, she was truly committed to the performance (you could tell she’s been studying Beyonce), her outfit was sexy and she had all the men drooling, Basketmouth & Toolz did a great job hosting and the cocktails were sent from heaven.

Low Point: Started late…2 and a half hours late, but hey this is Naija…nothing starts on time.

Davido‘s 20th birthday party went down last Friday at Deuces nightclub in VI, Lagos. The 20 year old arrived the venue with his HKN crew in his brand new Chevy Camaro. On hand to party with the billionaire’s son were D’Banj, Iyanya, Ice Prince, Vector and loads more artistes.

The club was also crawling with groupies…some even came all the way from Ghana! The struggle is real…but I digress. Watch Davido party like a rock star and give away N500,000.oo to a lucky winner after the jump
