Congrats to all the artistes on their verifications, but if you like me were thinking how the heck did Dencia with her 2 forgettable songs & 4,000+ followers get verified? Well I’ve got some answers…As far as twitter accounts go, getting verified is not a mark of popularity.

Oyetola Smith winner of the 3rd feature of the Underground (a music showcase for upcoming artists) recently released her first single Wait For You. An HR consultant by day and artist all other times, in her words “the intimacy that develops within a band that creates the lack of a need for them to practice much and produce music that is in sync and from the heart is what I want to experience in music and help my audience experience it too“.
