After 3 Months Of Back & Forth Half Of A Yellow Sun Has Finally Been Approved By Censors Board For Nigerian Cinemas

Screen Shot 2014-04-12 at 11.36.50

With the way things were going between the Nigeria Film and Video Censors Boards and the producers of Half Of A Yellow Sun, I was almost convinced the movie would never be released in Nigeria!

I was fortunate to watch HOAYS at a pre-screening in April and was shocked to hear that the Censors Board were holding off on releasing the movie. It’s been back and forth for about 3 months between NFVCB and the producers of HOAYS, the last I heard a few weeks ago was that NFVCB wanted the producers to cut out scenes from the movie which has already shown at cinemas across the world.
